Manuscript Preparation Instructions

IMPORTANT DATES:
Mar, 31, 08 — Deadline for submission of initial draft paper.
Apr. 11, 08 — Notification of acceptance to authors.
Apr. 21, 08 — Deadline for submission of final paper.

General
  • All papers should be submitted in pdf format.
  • No additional content editing will be performed by the ISART editors.
  • The total length of your paper may not exceed ten pages. Longer papers will be excluded from the Proceedings unless special arrangements are made in advance with Patricia Raush, General Chair or Kristen Davis.
  • For verification purposes authors should print the pdf file and proofread it carefully.

Manuscript Preparation

  • Maximum length of manuscripts is 10 pages.
  • Use 10 point type, single spaced, Times New Roman or similar serif font.
  • Manuscripts maybe be in color.
  • Use U.S. Letter (8.5"x11") pages and stay within these margins:

    1" (top), 1" (left), 1" (bottom), 1" (right).
Title, Author(s), and Affiliation(s)
  • Center title across the page in boldface type; capitalize initial letters only.
  • Skip one line, then center author name(s) below title.
  • Center affiliation name below each author's name.
  • Include phone, fax, and email for the corresponding author.
Abstract
  • Skip one line before abstract.
  • Center abstract text across entire page.
  • Use italic type, not bold.
  • Skip two lines between abstract and body text.
Body Text
  • Use two columns per page (with 0.25" gutter between columns).
  • Headings and subheadings should be bold type, numbered, flush left, with initial letters capitalized.
  • Maintain uniformity of style throughout.
  • Do NOT include page numbers.
Figures and Tables
  • Position all figures, tables, captions, and titles within the text.
  • Ensure legibility; simplify all figures and tables as much as possible.
  • Include a clear, numbered, figure caption below each figure.
  • Include a clear, numbered, table title above each table.
  • Figure captions and table titles should be 10 point regular type (not bold or italic).

References
  • Include a numbered list of references at the end of the paper.

Publication Release Receipt of your manuscript by this Conference constitutes release for open publication. No cancellation of such release is permissible. Do not send your manuscript if it has not fully cleared your organization's review process.

Registration and Attendance
Submission of your manuscript entails a commitment of the corresponding author to ensure that at least one author registers for the conference and presents the paper.
