Telecommunications & Information Technology Planning Division (ITS.P)
This division plans and analyzes existing, new and proposed large-scale
telecommunication resources, especially networks, for the purpose of improving
efficiency and enhancing the technical performance and reliability of those resources.

- Planning, analysis and design of public safety mobile radio systems and
networks for Federal, state and local governments
- Intelligent transportation analysis and design
- Broadband wireless standards
- Information technology research
- eGovernment data transmission, storage and translation
- Interoperable data format standards
- IT and communications architectures
- Broadcasting and propagation studies
- Network survivability studies
- Digital network performance
- Development of telecommunication terminology standards
