Telecommunications Theory Division (ITS.T)
The Telecommunications Theory Division develops and contributes to innovative telecommunication technologies and
engineering tools through the use of electromagnetic theory, digital signal processing techniques, models of human
perception, propagation modeling, and noise analysis.
- Areas and Activities include the following:
- Propagation modeling and electromagnetic analysis;
- Digital audio and video compression, transmission, and quality assessment;
- Noise theory and analysis;
- Antenna theory and design;
- Radio channel characterization and modeling;
- Future telecommunication technologies;
- Electromagnetic compatibility and electromagnetic interference theory.
