RSMS Mobile Radio Data Collection:

Significant effort has also been applied to mobile radio measurement techniques, and especially to the problem of determining amounts and levels of usage by mobile radio systems. Specialized algorithms have been developed for this application. Examples of the types of results obtained can be found in NTIA Report 98-357, Land Mobile Radio Channel Usage at the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, Sanders, et al., September 1998.

Other unique RSMS measurements have been performed on such problems as:
  • Congestion in crowded airspace due to large numbers of air traffic control beacon interrogator (ATCBI) signals;

  • Receivability of point-to-point microwave signals in protected communication zones (PCZs);
