Land Mobile Radio Channel Usage Measurements at the 1996 Summer Olympic Games

Abstract: The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is responsible for managing the Federal Government's use of the radio spectrum. In discharging this responsibility, NTIA uses the ITS radio spectrum measurement system and portable measurement systems to collect data for spectrum utilization assessments. This report details an NTIA project to measure and analyze land mobile radio channel usage statistics in the metropolitan area of Atlanta, Georgia, before, during, and after the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. |
