J. Randy Hoffman received a B.S.E.E. degree in electrical
engineering from the University of Colorado at Denver in 1990,
and has completed further coursework in engineering and
computer programming at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Since joining the Institute for Telecommunication Sciences in
1991, he has worked on a variety of projects including channel
characterization for modeling and simulation; the design and
analysis of reconfigurable software radios; DGPS system
performance in a noise environment; and interoperability
testing of P25 public safety radio equipment.
