Objective Video Quality Model Standards
This page identifies national and international standards
associated with objective video quality models developped
by ITS. Below that is a listing of other objective video
quality models that ITS helped to validate
and standardize.
The following objective video quality metrics (VQM) were
developped by ITS, validated, and standardized:
ITS actively supports the Video
Quality Experts Group (VQEG) work to validate other
organization's objective video quality
models. The following ITU Recommendations have
resulted in part from ITS' efforts on behalf of the VQEG
Independent Lab Group (ILG):
- ITU-T Rec. J.247 (2008)
"Objective perceptual multimedia video quality measurement in
the presence of a full reference"
- ITU-T Rec. J.246 (2008)
"Perceptual visual quality measurement techniques for
multimedia services over digital cable television networks in the
presence of a reduced bandwidth reference"
- ITU-R Rec. BT.1866, (2010)
"Objective perceptual visual quality measurement techniques for
broadcasting applications using low definition television in the
presence of a full reference signal"
- ITU-R Rec. BT.1867, (2010)
"Objective perceptual visual quality measurement techniques for
broadcasting applications using low definition television in the
presence of a reduced bandwidth reference"
- ITU-T Rec. J.341 (2011),
"Objective perceptual multimedia video quality measurement of HDTV
for digital cable television in the presence of a full
reference"
- ITU-T Rec. 342 (2011),
"Objective multimedia video quality measurement of HDTV for digital
cable television in the presence of a reduced reference
signal"
